Our client is a Fortune 500 company comprised of more than 40,000 people in multiple locations around the world. Building on a core competency of efficient technology infrastructure outsourcing, the company, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, now supports operations in nearly 100 countries, achieving $4 billion in annual revenues. We have a rapidly growing presence in Europe, Middle East and Africa, with over 2,000 staff. The most important projects will centralise and redesign the core processes around Human Resources Administration, Finance and Administration and/or IT for European clients of ACS. As we are actively sourcing new clients we have the need to further build our European organization with excellent professionals who can contribute to our growth.
Duties
Financial Support, including pricing and modelling, for European targeted new business and potential acquisitions of European companies
Assist in support of the Managing Director, ACS Europe, to manage and implement administrative processes across the European countries, including administration of time and expense reporting and the procurement of equipment and other assets in support of operations
Oversee monthly ACS financial close for ACS Europe business units, including allocation of costs and profitability by business unit for management reporting purposes
Oversee financial and statutory filings for ACS Europe, and ensure the establishment and maintenance of accounting principles, practices and procedures in accordance with US GAAP, and statutory accounting requirements
Assimilate current accounting processes done in other European countries into Barcelona and implement new accounting systems
Assist and provide advice in personnel administration matters (i.e. new hires and terminations) in local countries, including minimize adverse impact of benefits and severance and understanding of local labour laws
Assist with treasury activities, including cash pooling, investment of excess cash, external banking relationships, and risk management.
Education and Typical Years of Experience
Knowledge of US GAAP and local country statutory reporting
Fluent in English
10+ years experience
Able to work with multiple business units and multiple locations
Experience and versed in use of multiple currencies
F/X accounting (transaction gains and losses and transaction acctg)
FAS 52 Knowledge a plus
Excellent work ethic
Ability to explain accounting to non-accounting individuals
Travel (25% or less)
